Nominations for Distinguished Service Award & Honorary Life Membership
Honorary Life Membership
Purpose
The Honorary Life Membership award is designed to recognize individuals who have provided distinguished service to TASO-Basketball and the sport of basketball throughout their career.
Qualifications
To be eligible for Honorary Life Membership, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Must have been a TASO-Basketball member for at least 15 years.

Must have served as a chapter, district, or state officer.

Must be retired from active membership and basketball officiating for at least three (3) years.

Should have gained prominence as a basketball official in Texas.

Must be recommended by their local TASO chapter or the TASO-Basketball Board of Directors.
Distinguished Service Award​
Purpose
The Distinguished Service Award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the Texas Association of Sports Officials (TASO) – Basketball Division and the sport of basketball.
Qualifications
To be considered for the Distinguished Service Award, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Must have been a TASO-Basketball member for at least 10 years.

Must have served as a chapter, district, or state officer.

Must be recommended by their local TASO chapter or the TASO-Basketball Board of Directors.
