KEY GUIDELINES FOR OFFICIALS AND ASSIGNORS

This section contains essential information about fees, eligibility, and agreements that every official and assigner needs to know. Whether you're looking for policies on assignments, voter eligibility, or our constitution and by-laws, you'll find all the important guidelines here to help you navigate your role effectively.

Constitution and By-Laws

The Chapter Bylaws outline the governance, structure, and operational procedures of the organization. They establish membership requirements, meeting protocols, voting procedures, and the roles and responsibilities of officers and committees. Adhering to these bylaws ensures effective management and promotes a fair and equitable environment for all members.

Decline Policy

Members will face a $10 fine for declining a Sub-Varsity or Middle School assignment when available on Arbiter, and a $75 fine for Varsity assignments. Fines apply if an official declines an available assignment or fails to accept an assignment within 72 hours.

Eligibility to Officiate Policy

As we focus on "on-court" training, remember your "off-court" responsibilities. Complete the following before the first scrimmage and games. Dues & Fees, TASO Requirements, Tests, Arbiter Sports.

Eligibility for Playoffs

Pass all required tests with a minimum score of 92. Complete three Varsity scrimmages (3 hours each). Attend one Board-approved camp every other year. Note: Eligibility does not guarantee assignment selection

Eligibility to Vote

To vote in 2024-2025, members must: Be current on State and Local dues. Attend four of six Chapter meetings (excluding the election meeting). Attend the TASO State meeting or Regional Clinic, or complete the Online Clinic.

Local & Assigning Fees

Chapter dues are $40, with a $50 assigning fee. Sub assignors are paid $1.50 per game. All dues and fees must be paid for game eligibility.

Sub-Assignor Agreement

Key responsibilities for sub assigners include payment terms, using The Arbiter for assignments, and following Board-approved policies. Assigners must ensure fair practices, report incidents, and assign only eligible officials.
